I worked extra hours all week so I could have all day today off.  Tonight, Halloween night, the Garage had a fine gathering of people in custom.  I put on a prom dress and made a really hideous women.  Several people said I resembled Boy George--I'll let you decide.  I think the best custom has to go to Noah who looked unlike anything worldly.
Unfortunately I had been coming down with a cold and by 2:00am it was winning.  I ended up leaving for Cedar Rapids on Saturday after canceling all my other weekend plans.

This picture, although it is hard to make out, is snow flurries as I'm driving back to my place in Cedar Rapids.  The day was a little chilly and there was a lot of wind.  Most of the drive home I was fighting the wind.  And when I reached the city limits of Cedar Rapids, I started to notice snow flakes.  At first I thought they might be bugs catching my headlights.  But nothing was hitting my windshield and it was too cold for bugs.  Then it dawned on me: this was snow.  I was a bit surprised for how early in the season this first flurry happened, but it's not that rare.

This evening was L.J.'s 21st birthday gathering--and we had a lot of people.  A fairly regular tradition at Garage gatherings is to break out the neon paint.  Pictured is Lady Jai's back.
