Drive prices for 750 GB drives are prime right now. I picked up a 750 GB drive for the Red Dragon for $0.184/gig, which is really good. After the holidays, 500 GB drives kept rising in price, but 750 GB and 1000 GB drive prices continued to drop. Should prices continue on the trends they are, 750 GB drives will be the cheapest drive per gig on the market next month.
All the new space will relieve the near capacity 1.5 terabytes currently installed on the system. Much of the 500 GB installed in May was taken right away because of how much data had overflowed onto the Black Dragon. That and I took on over 200 GB of data from Tazz during his hard drive recovery process. He's yet to complete his backup process and I still have over 200 GB of uncompressed photos on the drive.
This picture was taken by Liz of me playing the "limbo" game during skating the other night. I usually make it to within the a couple rounds from the end, and I'm usually about 3 feet taller then the competition.
