Observed the IP address 38.100.41.105 doing something malicious.  They made 41 request before getting caught and banned in the ratrap.  The first requests were separated by about 20 seconds, but the requests then started coming at a rate of 1 to 3 a second.  Pages were requested without image requests.  Not typical of any bot I've seen is the request of CSS and latter on, requesting some images.  They entered with no referring URL, but the referring URL was present each request thereafter.  The user agent was identified as "(compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows XP)".  I'm not entirely sure what this bot was searching for-- especially with the rather random image requests.  Whatever it was, the ratrap successfully booted them out before they could waist much of my bandwidth.
Pictured is Britney at her 21st birthday party early this morning.

Lisa and I took a trip to the Apple Hut in Beloit this morning.  I wanted to pick up some apples and honey to bake some apple bread and Lisa had mentioned wanting to go to the Apple Hut.  We walked the orchard and I got a few good shots of the heavily laden apple trees.
Afterwards, I met up with Tazz and we went to Happy Hollow park in Beloit for a short shoot, where I got a few good shots of some of the fall color.
Then there was the Altered Reality club LAN party being hosted at the Garage.  We were originally expecting about 8-10 people, but it was 15-20.  There was some serious game play going on, some verbal sparing and a great deal of soda consumption. In all, it was a good time, and the sun had fully illuminated the sky by the time the last people went to bed.

I woke up around 4:00am as this storm blew in.  I quickly assembled my photography gear and scrambled out the door.  The radar showed a fairly narrow, but quick dense front moving in from the west.  It wasn't raining yet and I figured I had a pretty good chance of staying dry and shooting the lighting.  I drove up by the Rock County Airport where there is almost 360 degrees of open view and started shooting.  The first few frames were some of the best.  There was an extremely active sky with a lot of visible lighting.  I shot for around 30 minutes before I started feeling raindrops and most of the lighting had subsided.  Out of the 295 shots, I picked 10 I was quite pleased with.  Some proofs I layered and others I just rotated and cropped.
A little diffrent from the pictures I took on the 1st.  This time, there was no star vilibility and no reason to over expose.  The lighting was much closer and much brighter.  I started shooting with at -1 F-stops, but the constant flashing in the sky was making the exposure time change from shot to shot.  So I switched to full manual mode, shooting with an F-stop of 5 for 5 to 10 seconds.  This began to produce the results I was looking for.
